For over a decade, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has thrilled millions of fans around the world as Marvel Comics' iconic superheroes have defended their world against some truly formidable foes. However, given the incredible nature of the shared cinematic universe, a new theory posits that rather being real events in this fictional cinematic world, the MCU has actually been a highly sophisticated computer simulation ever since its launch with the original Iron Man film in 2008.

Much like the first three Phases of the MCU, a lot of this has to do with the Infinity Stones and growing prominence of magic and the Quantum Realm in the shared cinematic universe. Taking inspiration from the 2015 comic book crossover Secret Wars, the theory suggests the MCU is actually a full-on multiverse -- which had been first hinted at as early as 2016's Doctor Strange -- each operating under its own rules and timelines but all sharing the same power source as part of a Matryoshka Brain. This is a quantum theory that multiple programs or realities all powered through a Dyson Sphere, a solar power source -- the MCU is one such program in this interlinked network.

Check out the video below for all the evidence supporting the theory that the MCU has just been an advance computer simulation powered by a Dyson Sphere this entire time.

From the Infinity Stones serving as tangible computer nodes within the simulation to the sorcerers of the MCU able to subtly rewrite the program by accessing different programs within the Matryoshka Brain, the theory that the MCU is a computer simulation is certainly a wacky one. But with the impressive list of evidence provided, there are clear indicators that the theory may be more plausible than it initially appears, with the Avengers able to game the simulation to rewrite reality during the events of Avengers: Endgame.
