Tony Stark/Iron Man is one of the most brilliant people in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to building his titular armor, Tony's genius played a key role in Avengers: Endgame, as he was the one to crack the secrets to time travel so as to defeat Thanos and undo the snap. While Tony died in the climax of Endgame, the hero's legacy and inventions lived on. One of them, E.D.I.T.H., played a key role in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

An incredibly powerful piece of technology, Even Dead, I'm The Hero (E.D.I.T.H.) was an augmented reality security and defense system, which gave its bearer access to a network of satellites. Using E.D.I.T.H., one can deploy a ton of missiles and drones against their opponent, providing a major tactical advantage. However, Tony didn't use E.D.I.T.H. during the final battle against Thanos in Endgame, despite how useful the technology might have been. After all, the fate of the entire universe was at stake, and it seems weird to not use such an incredible piece of technology.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take. While there's a good indication the characters Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. Right now, a number of productions have either been delayed or had their release dates changed as a result of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, at this time, there's no indication those delays will affect the plots of any of the projects.
