Iron Man/Tony Stark's first solo film launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The events of the MCU led towards both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. However, the MCU's biggest villain -- Thanos -- isn't as different from the hero as you might think. In fact, the two have a lot in common.

Tony Stark and Thanos are two characters who like to do things their own way, and one could describe them as bullheaded. Even when Tony agreed to the Sekovia Accords, it's clear that he didn't particularly like being ordered around. He's a person who attempts to do what they think is right, much like Thanos. The Mad Titan watched his planet die, which led to his desire to wipe out half the universe.

A lot of fans figure Endgame will be the final MCU story featuring Iron Man and that the character will die before everything is over. There are a lot of fan theories out there that suggest that he might just create an Infinity Gauntlet of his own and use the Infinity Stones to reverse the snap, which could kill him in the process.
