At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers/Captain America went back in time to live with Peggy Carter, officially retiring from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, that doesn't mean he can't appear in the upcoming Black Widow film, which is set between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Steve was still in action at the time, and he seemingly met up with Natasha Romanoff at some point after that.

While there's no guarantee Captain America will appear in the film, there's a chance he may have a cameo. After all, there are reports Robert Downey Jr. will cameo as Tony Stark/Iron Man via footage from Civil War. In this new video, we're going to explain just why he should have a cameo -- and it has to do with the Red Guardian.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take. While there's a good indication the characters Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. At this time, Chris Evans is not slated to return as Captain America at any point in the foreseeable future, with Sam Wilson/The Falcon taking up the hero's mantle and shield. Anthony Mackie, who plays Wilson, will reprise his role for the upcoming Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
