As the DC Universe's flagship superhero, Superman is one of the most recognizable, powerful superheroes in the entire comic book medium. Given his prominence and raw strength, the Man of Steel is often compared to the iconic manga/anime character Goku from Akira Toriyama's perennially popular Dragon Ball franchise. But which of the two heroes would emerge on top in a hypothetical fight?
Superman is strong enough to move entire planets with his bare hands and possesses an array of incredible abilities that he's utilized defending the DCU. Goku is a martial arts champion of extraterrestrial origin that has steadily increased his combat power after years of intense training, achieving transformation that allow him to significantly boost his already immense strength. A match-up between the two icons would lay an entire planet to waste but only one of the two heroes can be left standing, and it would likely be the popular Super Saiyan.

With his power levels dependent on his exposure to the rays emanating from a yellow sun, Superman would be noticeably weaker if he was battling in a different solar system. Goku is accustomed to fighting in strange, harsh environments, with his power coming from his intense regimen of training. And with Dragon Ball Super introducing the Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue and Ultra Instinct transformations, Goku has learned to master of the gods themselves to grow even stronger that could take advantage of the Man of Tomorrow's more glaring vulnerabilities should the two characters ever come to blows. Superman is certainly no slouch, but the levels of power Goku has achieved give him an edge over Big Blue.
