VIDEO: The Biggest Times Dragon Ball's Vegeta Had Goku's Back

Although Vegeta debuted in Dragon Ball Z as a villain, he's since gone on to become a fan-favorite hero, and one of the most beloved characters in the martial arts' universe's vast library. He's always been something of a rival to Goku, though that's softened somewhat over the years, with the two eventually becoming friends. However, regardless of his feelings on Goku, Vegeta has shown up to really help his rival on a number of occasions. We've catalogued ten of the biggest times Vegeta had Goku's back.

We're starting out list off with a fairly well-known example of Vegeta helping Goku, which is when the former saved the latter from Android 19. During his fight with Android 19, Goku collapsed due to the Heart Virus, which Trunks had warned him about, thus altering the timeline. Vegeta stepped in to help Goku out in his moment of weakness, defeating Android 19. Now, Vegeta 's motivation for having Goku's back in this case is a bit more suspect, as he wanted to show off just how powerful he'd since become, finally achieving Super Saiyan. Still, Vegeta definitely helped Goku in this dire situation.

Although Dragon Ball Super has finished its run, Super Dragon Ball Heroes is helping tide fans over in the short-term, but it's unknown at this time just when the series will return with new episodes, or if it will adapt the current "Galactic Prisoner Saga" that's going on in the manga. Still, the franchise seems unlikely to stay gone for long, as it's remained one of the most popular media properties in the world for decades.
