VIDEO: Dragon Ball Z's Piccolo Was Underestimated on These Key Occasions

Although Dragon Ball's Piccolo was never able to quite keep up with his once-rival Goku, he's still one of the mightiest fighters on Earth, and he's repeatedly proven himself in situations that are immensely dangerous. There are a lot of fights in which Piccolo's opponents have drastically underestimated him and paid -- or almost paid -- the price. We've compiled a list of ten such occasions.

We're starting our list out with when he took on Buu. That villain proved particularly challenging for even the mightiest fighters on Earth, but Piccolo still took on the Buu anyway. He did so in order to stall the villain, who at that point was the strongest opponent the Z-Fighters had ever faced. Although Piccolo didn't really stand a chance against Buu, he managed to be useful in the situation by stalling the villain while Goten and Trunks trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. This played a key role in the continuing battle against Buu and, although they weren't the ones to beat him, Piccolo gave them a fighting chance.
