Captain America: Civil War featured Earth's Mightiest heroes and their allies duking it out over the fate of Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier and the Sokovia Accords. Among those heroes was Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, who eventually chose to work with Captain America. There's a deleted scene from that film that will likely inform what happens in the upcoming Black Widow solo film.

The scene in question actually involves Tony Stark/Iron Man, who died during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Although actor Robert Downey Jr. isn't likely to reprise his role anytime soon, there are several deleted scenes of him interacting with Black Widow. It's possible Marvel Studios could reuse this footage without bringing Downey back, which wouldn't be a first for the company.

Check out the video below to find out more about how this deleted scene could end up affecting Black Widow and what that footage looks like. There are also some other scenes that could make their way into the film, which we'll provide information about.

Scarlett Johansson made her debut as Black Widow in 2010's Iron Man 2. She's since played a major role in many of the MCU's biggest films. However, the hero's story came to an end during Avengers: Endgame, when she sacrificed herself to obtain the Soul Stone on Vormir. The Black Widow solo movie will be the character's first and will also kick off Phase Four. Other films that will release in the next phase include The EternalsShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten RingsDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, among others.
