Avengers: Endgame features some iconic scenes, but probably one of the most memorable is during the final fight with Thanos, when Captain America picks up and uses Mjolnir to lay a beating on the Mad Titan. However, you might need an explanation on why Steve Rogers was able to use the legendary weapon.

Avengers: Age of Ultron gave a pretty good indication Steve would be able to lift the hammer, proving that he meets the enchantment's worthiness requirement. However, it wasn't totally clear if we'd ever see the legendary weapon again after Hela destroyed it in Thor: Ragnarok. Bringing the hammer back from the past allowed fans to finally see Captain America wield Mjolnir in battle.

Endgame ends with Captain America going to the past to live a life with Peggy Carter and giving his shield to Sam Wilson. Joe and Anthony Russo have said it's unlikely Chris Evans will reprise his role as Steve Rogers anytime soon, so it's likely the last we'll see of the character for quite some time. Still, Sam will play a key role in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, an upcoming Disney+ series.
