VIDEO: This Might Be What Ant-Man's Doing In Avengers: Endgame

Ant-Man in Avengers: Endgame

Scott Lang/Ant-Man's role in the trailers for Avengers: Endgame has been puzzling to say the least. The character was seemingly trapped in the Quantum Realm at the end of Ant-Man and The Wasp, and a lot of fans think that escape might play an incredibly important role in defeating Thanos and reversing the snap. We think we know what Ant-Man is really up to in Endgame.

Lang is currently the person with the most knowledge of the technology used to get to the Quantum Realm, which he was warned had "Time Vortexes." One of the major theories is that he actually overshoots his destination and ends up a few years in the future, where he meets an older version of his daughter. However, he's a hero; he can't just abandon his family. Instead, he'll use the insight he gets from that experience to help defeat Thanos.

It's not totally clear at this time what Ant-Man's future is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though there's no reason to believe that he's going anywhere any time soon. As the Quantum Realm takes on an increasingly important role going forward, it seems likely that he, Hank Pym, Hope Van Dyne and Janet Van Dyne will play a key role. Still, there hasn't been any official word yet, though actor Michael Douglas has said Marvel does want to make a third film.
