The end of 2018's Venom saw Eddie Brock finally coming to terms with his symbiote, after which time he went to visit a serial killer named Cletus Kasady in prison. Played by Woody Harrelson, Kasady's introduction set up Carnage as the villain for Venom 2, and the movie's subtitle quickly confirmed that would indeed be the case. However, there's still a lot we don't know about the film and Carnage's role in the film, including just how Venom 2 will adapt his powers and backstory. In this video, we're going to go through five things from the comics Venom: Let There Be Carnage needs to adapt for its titular villain.

The first thing about regarding Carnage is his nature, which is dark and gritty. While it's unlikely Let There Be Carnage will be R-rated, there's still a lot the movie can do to be dark. The original Venom was dark and gritty without being R-rated, and director Andy Serkis has actually had some success with creating PG-13 movies with that same tone in the past. Let There Be Carnage almost certainly isn't going to be cheerful, and that's something to which fans of Kasady in the comics can look forward.
