Veronica Mars Is on the Case in First Trailer for Hulu Revival

It may have been over five years since fans last saw neo-noir detective Veronica Mars in a revival film starring Kristen Bell, but the character is returning for an all-new season in July.

Hulu has released the first trailer for its upcoming revival series. The trailer features Mars back in action in her Southern California home of Neptune, as the coastal town faces a crime wave at the height of spring break. Fans are also provided looks at new characters portrayed by J.K. Simmons and Patton Oswalt.

We see a string of bombings strike the beachfront town full of spring break tourists, as Mars suspects a serial killer is active who may be linked to her new love interest.

The fan-favorite series originally ran for three seasons on The CW before its eventual cancellation. A crowdfunded revival film was released in 2014, reuniting much of the original cast. The Hulu revival series looks to do the same while adding plenty of new faces, as Mars investigates a case that threatens the livelihood of her hometown.
