The cult-favorite mystery drama Veronica Mars will return in 2019 with an eight-episode Hulu revival feature that includes star Kristen Bell and series creator Rob Thomas.
As part of the deal with Warner Bros. Television, Hulu secured the streaming rights for all previous episodes, as well as the 2014 film, beginning in summer 2019. Bell teased the agreement in a Twitter video, which ended with the announcement, "we're making another one!"

Veronica Mars centers on a young private eye investigating her best friend's murder in her hometown of Neptune, California. The teen noir mystery drama debuted in 2004 and ran for three seasons, two on UPN and one on its successor, The CW, when the network launched in 2006. Thomas also directed and co-wrote the 2014 reunion film, funded through a Kickstarter campaign.
BuzzFeed News' Kate Aurthur confirmed the season order with a statement from Hulu, which lays out a premise in which Neptune's tourism industry suffers following the murders of spring breakers. Veronica is drawn into the investigation, as the mystery will pit the wealthy elites against the working class.
