A new variant cover for Venom #27 features the mysterious new white-haired villain that will plague the Lethal Protector. Artist Jonboy Meyers posted the cover on his Twitter account, which features the villain unmasked.

"Cover to Venom 27 featuring a brand NEW villain to the Venomverse," Meyers wrote, giving a shoutout to colorist Ryan Kinnaird. The cover is part of a triptych featuring Venom, his new foe, and Carnage.

The villain has blazing red eyes and a prehensile tongue, as well as razor-sharp fangs. With his chalk-white hair and complexion, he bears a startling resemblance to the symbiote god Knull. Knull is on a warpath toward Earth and will collide with the heroes of the Marvel universe in The King in Black miniseries this December.

The villain was first teased in a two-page spread in Venom #25, as part of a host of threats that Venom would face in the future. His connection to Knull remains to be seen. His abilities and enmity with Venom also remain a mystery. Venom currently has his hands full with the mysterious Virus, who showed up in Venom #26, seeking revenge on the wicked web-slinger for yet to be disclosed reasons.

Venom #26 is currently on sale from Marvel Comics.
