With Tom Hardy stepping in as Eddie Brock in last year's Venom solo film from Sony Pictures, along with numerous new comic book storylines featuring everyone's favorite slimy symbiote, Venom has seen a bit of a resurgence in recent years. It's perhaps not-so-coincidental, then, that Hot Toys partnered with INSTINCTOY to announce their newest release commemorating Marvel Comics' 80th anniversary -- a gorgeously gruesome Venom figure that may be the only statue you could ever need or want of the iconic anti-hero.

Revealed on Facebook earlier today, this vinyl-made "Artist Mix" figure designed by Hiroto Ohkubo is based directly on Venom designs from the Marvel comics, measures 34 cm tall and features two magnetic interchangeable head sculpts -- one grinning and one, well, grinning even larger with the character's trademark, lengthy tongue. The body itself is semi-articulated for head, ankle, and wrist movements, allow fans to pose the symbiote in a properly creepy, looming stance.

Unfortunately, Hot Toys hasn't announced a price, or which "selected markets" will carry the Venom figure, but with an estimated release window of Q4 2019 - Q1 2020, there's still time to gather that info.

Andy Serkis recently signed on to direct Venom 2, which will once again star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock. The sequel does not yet have a release date.
