After months of waiting, Venom finally drops into theaters next week, and a new ad reminds you he's just as fast as he is hungry.

"It makes me super fast," Eddie muses as Venom quickly climb a building. Venom's speed is a trait of his that hasn't been emphasized as much as his cannibalism and incredible strength, and it's something Eddie's learned to appreciate, noting how "awesome" it is to have that power.

The Venom solo movie will mark the first time the Lethal Protector has been in a film since 2007's Spider-Man 3, where he was played by Topher Grace. Although it may be possible for Spider-Man and Venom to tangle in hypothesized future installments, there's no indication that will happen in this film.

This Venom movie is meant to kick off a new cinematic universe of Spider-Man adjacent characters for Sony to do while the main player is off gallivanting with the Avengers. If successful, the next planned movie after Venom will focus on Morbius the Living Vampire. There are also plans for movies focusing on Black Cat, Silver Sable, Silk, Kraven the Hunter and Nightwatch.
