Venom Takes Out a SWAT Team in New Movie Clip

A new clip from director Ruben Fleishcer's Venom pits the Lethal Protector against some very unlucky SWAT officers.

The scene depicts Tom Hardy's Venom effortlessly, and brutally, wiping the floor with a SWAT team after he mocks their "masks, copy" order. Despite the use of flash grenades, which momentarily disrupt the symbiote, the team is completely outclassed by Venom's raw strength, durability and speed.

Despite being called the "Lethal Protector," Venom unleashes his power in a seemingly non-fatal way. While some fans are understandably disappointed that Venom is rated PG-13 instead of R, this clip shows the slithering symbiote is likely going to be every bit as formidable they might expect. No gore is needed in this case to unleash Venom's fearsome abilities as he disarms SWAT officers, leaps around, and defeats the team, even after being barraged by bullets and multiple flash grenades.
