Sony Pictures Entertainment dropped the second official trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, showcasing Eddie Brock's continued conflict with the alien symbiote and the threat of deadly serial killer bonded to the Carnage symbiote.

The starts right away with Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady in his first transformation into Carnage. The trailer then teases a series of labs or prisons containing other superpowered individuals, one of which appears to be Shriek, who formed an infamous relationship with Carnage in the Maximum Carnage crossover event.

The trailer also hints at an origin story that deviates from the source material, as Cletus is shown to bite Brock's hand, tasting something other than blood. The film builds on Cletus' apparent liking to Brock, which was introduced at the end of Venom.

The first trailer for the film premiered in May. Notably, despite the criticism 2018's Venom received from fans due to the lack of explicit violence and gore, Let There Be Carnage appears to be continuing that trend with moments of violence that lack blood.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is being directed by Andy Serkis and is currently scheduled to hit theaters this fall. Tom Hardy will return as Eddie Brock, Woody Harrselson joins the film as Cletus Kasady/Carnage and Michelle Williams will return, reprising her role as Anne Weying.
