Venom Day is an online event that will take place on Sept. 27 to promote the film. Sony released several new clips teasing footage from the upcoming Venom sequel starring Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson as the film's premiere approaches. One of the most recent teasers revealed how violent the titular villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage's prison break will be showing the symbiote as he throws officers around with his weapons and tendrils. Another teaser shows Venom (played by Tom Hardy) literally dropping the mic at a rave, covered in glow bracelets and necklaces.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will introduce several different supervillains, notably Carnage, who will be played by Harrelson, and the live-action debut of Shriek, played by Naomie Harris. Another clip released by Sony teased Shirek's dangerous sound-based powers, showing her incarcerated in a soundproof cell as a group of orderlies bring her food. The orderlies go to great lengths to protect their ears before entering her cell, but the deafening silence is ultimately broken.

Harrelson's addition to the cast of the Venom sequel was announced in August 2019 after he made his first appearance in the post-credit scene for Venom in 2018. Venom: Let There Be Carnage will introduce several characters from the Venom/Carnage mythos, including Harris as Shriek, Stephen Graham as Detective Mulligan, as well as Sean Delaney and Larry Olubamiwo in unknown roles.

Despite the number of teasers, specific plot details surrounding Venom: Let There Be Carnage have been kept under wraps. However, it was confirmed that the film will see Hardy's Eddie Brock/Venom face off against Harrelson's Kassidy/Carnage in the 97-minute long film.

Directed by Andy Serkis, Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, Sean Delaney and Larry Olubamiwo. The film arrives in theaters Oct. 1.
