WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Savage Avengers #19 by Gerry Duggan, Kev Walker, Scott Hanna, Java Tartaglia and VC's Travis Lanham, on sale now.

The King in Black crossover event has touched almost every character in the Marvel Universe in some capacity. While some are just suffering under Knull's symbiote-black skies, others have pushed themselves beyond their limits to save their world from the dark god of the symbiotes. Unfortunately, Knull has been using his army of symbiotes to take over the heroes opposing him since his arrival on Earth, and he names his most powerful vessel in Savage Avengers #19.

In the issue, Conan the Barbarian, Deadpool and Night-Flyer teamed up to escape prison and Knull's dragon army, when the trio was caught red-handed by Iceman, Calisto and Bishop. But instead of fighting each other, the mutants are far more interested in freeing Cyclops and Storm from Knull's clutches. Unfortunately, neither of the heroes seem to have any interest in going home, especially since Knull realized that Storm is his most powerful vessel.

The Knullified Cyclops is intimidating, but Storm is something else entirely. As she hovers above the rescue team unleashing torrents of lightning upon them, Knull boasts through her that she is undoubtedly the most powerful of his latest vessels. The powerhouse X-Men veteran covered in living darkness is a sight to behold as she lets loose massive winds along with lightning strikes against those who oppose her.

Aside from her strength, Storm's cunning proves to be just as problematic, as the hero is well aware of her teammate's tactics, and she easily avoids giving them any opening to take down herself or Cyclops. It doesn't take long before the heroes are forced to retreat, which should come as no surprise considering just what they were up against.

King in Black Storm 1

Since Storm first appeared 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1 by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum, Ororo Munroe has showcased her strength in incredible ways, with her time spent as queen of Wakanda highlighting her fortitude even more. As an Omega-Level mutant, Storm is one of the most powerful beings on Earth, and her elemental powers have caused continent-wide weather events. Her tenure on the X-Men and as one of the team's most frequent leaders made her a distinguished hero who even joined the Avengers.

From weather goddess to X-Men powerhouse and Wakandan queen, there are few roles that Storm doesn't play well. And while she ends this issue as one of Knull's soldiers, King in Black #4 already saw her  and the other Knull-possessed heroes freed by Dylan Brock, the son of Venom's Eddie Brock. Now in control of her own faculties, there is nothing stopping Storm from unleashing her full fury on Knull and his creations in the crossover's final act
