The creative team of Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman have reached the end of their Venom saga, and to celebrate Marvel Comics has released a new video of the duo bidding farewell to the Lethal Protector.

Cates and Stegman reflect on their multi-year run on Venom ahead of the 200th issue. "We're gonna end this run the way that we started it - by exploding everything you ever thought that you knew, and setting the stage for something that's truly and honestly going to change Eddie and the Marvel Universe forever," Cates said.

"We've got some of the coolest images in the series coming up in 200," Stegman promises. "If you thought that Venom with a battle axe with a star field on his costume with glowing eyes was crazy, you haven’t seen much yet."

The farewell video recaps many of the key moments in Venom, including how the series launched two line-wide Marvel events, Absolute Carnage and King in Black, with the latter drastically altering Eddie Brock and Venom's status in the Marvel Universe. On the eve of Venom #200, Cates and Stegman promise even more changes to come.

Venom #200 goes on sale Wednesday, July 16 from Marvel Comics.
