For the past several months, the return of popular Marvel Comics villain Carnage has been teased in the pages of Venom and an upcoming special issue will reveal the notorious serial killer's plans with his devoted cult.

This April will see the latest Web of Venom tie-in issue: Web of Venom: Cult of Carnage #1 written by Frank Tieri and illustrated by Danilo S. Beyruth. The issue focuses on Cletus Kassady's religious cult and their plans regarding Knull, the recently revealed god of the symbiotes.

"Web of Venom: Cult of Carnage is a big puzzle piece in the overall conspiracy we've been building since Venom #1," Venom writer Donny Cates said in a statement. "As much as Carnage Born was the rebirth of Cletus Kasady, Cult of Carnage will give readers a larger look at our favorite serial killer's overarching plan. Big, BIG things are coming for Venom, folks, and it begins here, in Cult of Carnage! #GodIsComing!"
