An early April report claimed the film's marketing campaign was beginning to ramp up, with some believing the first trailer could arrive online soon. VFX artist Amit Chaudhari stated Venom 2 has been sent to "various Sony International markets under the 'Localization process.'"

With the official title of Venom 2 now revealed, it appears to play up the appearance of Woody Harrelson's psychotic Cletus Kasady, who bonds with the red symbiote to become the villainous Carnage. Various set photos have given fans a glimpse at Harrelson as Kasady, though he's only shown in normal street clothes. However, he does sport the character's signature curly red hair, which is immediately recognizable to devoted Marvel fans.

Directed by Andy Serkis, Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott and Stephen Graham. The film arrives in theaters June 25, 2021.
