Newly surfaced materials for Sony Pictures' Venom: Let There Be Carnage appear to confirm the inclusion of J.K. Simmons' J. Jonah Jameson.

Vue released a new synopsis for the film, along with a cast list that includes confirmed stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Stephen Graham. Also listed are Tom Hollander (no, not Holland) and the aforementioned J.K. Simmons. Sony didn't respond to CBR's request for comment.

Simmons, of course, played the eccentric Daily Bugle editor-in-chief J. Jonah Jameson across all three of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films before reprising the role for a cameo in Spider-Man: Far From Home. He'll return once more in No Way Home, but should this cast list prove accurate, it would imply a much larger role for JJJ across the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters. It would also make Jameson the second major character to bridge the gap between SPUMC and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the Morbius trailer featured Michael Keaton's Adrian Toombs/Vulture.

Regardless of Simmons' involvement, or lack thereof, fans will have to wait a little longer than expected to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage, as the film was recently bumped from Sept. 24 to Oct. 15.
