A new deleted scene from Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been released, and the footage shows a particularly disgusting -- and romantic -- moment between Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), Frances Barrison/Shriek (Naomie Harris) and the titular evil symbiote.

In the clip, which you can see below, Cletus and Frances are at St. Estes Home for Unwanted Children, where he shows her his list of people to get revenge on. Carnage interrupts and explains his plan to create a new race that combines humans with symbiotes. Carnage then intends to destroy the rest of humanity. Frances initially resists, but soon she kisses Cletus and Carnage declares them "The Unholy Trinity."

Released in October, Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the titular antihero's second solo movie. Let There Be Carnage sees reporter Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) trying to adapt to life with the Venom symbiote while covering convicted serial killer Cletus Kasady. However, the tumultuous relationship between Venom and Eddie ends up causing Cletus to get hold of some of their blood, allowing him to become Carnage.

Cletus's first act as Carnage is to break out of prison and go to rescue his girlfriend, Frances Barrison, from the Ravencroft Institute, where she's been imprisoned for decades. Soon, the two go back to St. Estes Home for Unwanted Children, where they met. This twist forces Eddie and Venom to work together to stop the sinister Carnage.

As of writing, Venom: Let There Be Carnage has grossed over $455 million at the worldwide box office against a budget of approximately $110 million. That's despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has some still wary of returning to in-person screenings. While the movie has a relatively low critical score of 59 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, the Audience Score for Let There Be Carnage on that platform is much higher at 84 percent.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the second film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe. Currently, a movie based on Morbius, the Living Vampire, is slated to release on Jan. 28, 2022 after having been delayed from an initial premiere date in July 2020. After Morbius releases, Aaron Taylor-Johnson will play the titular Spider-Man villain in Kraven the Hunter, which is set for Jan. 13, 2023. There are also plans for a third film in the Venom series. It is not, at this time, clear how that movie will address the nod to the Marvel Cinematic Universe from its mid-credits scene.

Directed by Andy Serkis, Venom: Let There Be Carnage is available on digital now. A physical media release is set for Dec. 14.
