This October, writer Christopher Priest's two-year run on Vampirella reaches its crescendo with issue #25 -- which promises to feature the "wedding of the century" between Vampi and a reincarnated Count Dracula.

"Yes, you read that right," Dynamite Entertainment said in an official press release. "Not a fake out, not a dream -- Vampirella's 50th anniversary series is coming up on a massive celebration and marriage in this fall's issue #25 by Christopher Priest and Ergun Gunduz!" Written by Priest and illustrated by Gunduz, Vampirella #25 is slated to hit comic shops Wednesday, Oct. 20. The issue is solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' August 2021 Previews catalog.

"Can the Daughter of Drakulon cheat fate? A mysterious, innocent young man is beset with a deadly prophecy. He may just be the resurrection of the one and only deadly Dracula," an official synopsis for Vampirella #25 reads. "But with a chance of breaking the curse with the power of love, Vampirella forges a bond in blood to save his life and destiny."

"Like most everything we've done in Vampirella, expect the unexpected," said Priest. "Which, of course, makes it really hard to promote without giving away the surprises. It's a tired trope to say this is a Dracula story unlike any you've read before -- but it really is. And, unlike some other big announcements, our gal won't be left at the altar!"

However, while Vampirella #25 marks the end of Vampi's 50th anniversary celebration, Dynamite teases that Priest isn't done with the iconic character just yet. "It wouldn't be fair to just drop the microphone after a wedding, so fans can stay tuned for the exciting next paths for the character to be announced soon... It's the ending of the critically acclaimed era, but the start of something even bigger!"

The landmark issue #25 features covers by not only Gunduz, but also Lucio Parrillo, Shannon Maer, Marco Mastrazzo, InHyuk Lee, Maria Laura Sanapo, Rose Besch, Zoe Lacchei, KyuYong Eom and Emanuela Lupacchino. Dynamite explains that many of these artists took the opportunity to have some fun and put their own spin on Dracula, with editor Matt Idelson having challenged them to "think outside the coffin."
