Vault Comics and Paradox Interactive have partnered to publish an official Vampire: The Masquerade comic book series that will be available in July 2020 in the U.S.

The comics will take place in the World of Darkness version of the Twin Cities, and follow two stories. The first will center around Cecily Baine, a Camarilla courier in Minneapolis who works for an elite vampire clan. The second focuses on an Anarch coterie on the outskirts of the city who is investigating a murder. Both stories will eventually connect to unveil a city-wide conspiracy that impacts all vampires.

Each issue will feature Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition RPG manual materials, which will help readers play along or create their own chronicles.

Vampire: The Masquerade, which was born in 1991 as a mature, personal horror RPG, is having a big year. Its video game Bloodlines 2 is slated to come out in late 2020 and its tie-in visual novel Coteries of New York is already available on Steam.

Each vampire of Vampire: The Masquerade is part of a bloodline that confers them powers specific to their clan. The main two factions of the comic story will be the Camarilla, a highly structured group of vampires concerned with keeping humans in the dark through the strict application of masquerade rules, and the Anarchs, who, while on the whole agree with the need for obscurity, prefer to operate with more freedom.

The Vampire: The Masquerade comic book series is co-written by Tim Seeley, Tini Howard, and Blake Howard, drawn by Devmalya Pramanik, Nathan Gooden and colored by Addison Duke, with covers by Aaron Campbell.
