With Valorant set to launch on June 2, the game's developers have pledged to be more aggressive in actively banning cheaters.

Despite the success of the game's beta version, it has been marred by controversy over its anti-cheating software. But Riot Games seems to not be concerned about the controversy as the gaming publisher has become more adamant about stopping cheaters.

On Valorant's website, the developers released a statement about expelling cheaters from the multiplayer first-person shooter. They explained, "Up to now, while we’ve been able to track and understand the inputs by which we identify cheaters, many of our ban waves have been manually reviewed and implemented by our anti-cheat team (and they’ve still managed to ban thousands so far). Come launch, we will be more aggressive, widespread, and automated in our ability to detect and ban cheaters."

They admitted that even while they're vigilantly searching for cheaters in the game, cheating will never be completely eradicated. "As a final reminder: as with any game, our guarantee isn’t that VALORANT will be cheat free, it’s that our commitment to anti-cheat doesn’t end when you forget about it," the developers stated. "This is just the beginning, so let’s keep this conversation going."

Developed and published by Riot Games, Valorant will be released on June 2 for PC.
