Jane Foster has been having a unique and interesting run in her time as Valkyrie. Yet there are plenty of classic Marvel villains she has yet to come up against. We're sure that this will change with time – her status and job will constantly put her up against the villains involved or creating death, which is a decent number of them, naturally.
Even knowing that, we still find ourselves hoping to see specific characters in Valkyrie's future. These are fights that would be either truly epic – or seriously interesting. So we're just going to sit over here and cross our fingers, hoping that we'll get a chance to see these battles someday (hopefully soon).
10 10. Loki
Yes, we know. Jane Foster has already faced Loki once – when she carried the mantle of Thor. But we just can't help but wonder how that fight would go down when she carried a new mantle. After all, Loki was unaware of her identity during their first battle. Ideally, he would once again not know the truth.
We'd love to confirm that fact, while also seeing how her new power set worked against the god of mischief. That goes doubly so given all of the character development they've been putting into Loki ever since the War of the Realms.
9 9. Mephisto
Let's be honest here: this is a battle that is likely looming on the horizon. We've already seen the powers that be working behind the scenes, trying to steal away the power of the Valkyries from Jane Foster. So realistically, this is merely a matter of time.
That won't stop us from looking forward to this interaction. It would certainly be interesting to see how Valkyrie would handle this threat. There's no doubt that she'd have to go about things differently than Doctor Strange, or any of the other heroes who have gone up against him. And that makes it all the more exciting.
8 8. Morgan Le Fay
Morgan Le Fay may be a woman of lore – but she is also a character within the Marvel realm. She's a powerful sorceress on earth, and she has made an appearance several times, attacking characters such as The Avengers, Spider-Woman, and more.
We would be curious to see how Valkyrie would handle a sorceress, as we think that would provide for a brilliant battle. Picture the All-Weapon going up against magic such as Morgan Le Fay's. That alone makes this something worth seeing, don't you think?
7 7. The Hood
The Hood is a terrifying crime lord in the Marvel universe. He once was nothing more than a crook, before he got his hands on mystical items. Now he's so much more, and that makes him a decent threat in the universe.
The Hood is an antagonist that typically goes up against Doctor Strange and the Avengers, and thus we think he'd also be a good fit to go up against Valkyrie. After all, we've already seen a couple of classic villains from those series crossover. So we know this pattern works well.
6 6. Enchantress
Speaking of classic villains we'd love to see go up against Valkyrie, who else is rooting for an Enchantress appearance? The girl power vibes would be strong in this battle, but that's not the only reason we'd love to see these characters duke it out.
They also match thematically, considering the Enchantress' origin, and the origin of the Valkyrie mantle. Honestly, we're almost surprised that they haven't crossed paths yet. But give it time, and they surely will.
5 5. Baron Mordo
Another classic villain we'd love to see go up against our lovely Valkyrie is Baron Mordo. Once again, we're pulling from Doctor Strange's lineup, but you've got to admit that there's something to that concept.
Baron Mordo and Valkyrie would have very different ways of looking at life and death – and they'd go about their tactics in completely different manners. Add in the fact that Doctor Strange knows Valkyrie's true identity, and that theoretically makes them allies, and we've got a brilliant foundation for something more here. We could see Valkyrie getting involved in this mess for the sake of her new ally.
4 4. Lilith
Lilith is another big name in the Marvel universe that we'd love to see go up against Valkyrie/Jane Foster. Lilith is not a character afraid to challenge our favorite heroes when the time calls for it. She's gone up against characters such as Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, and Blade. And hopefully one day she'll add Valkyrie to that list.
Lilith is also known as the Mother of Demons (just one of her many aliases) and would make a fascinating match-up for our hero. Not only does she have a significant amount of power on her own, but the legions she can summon would change the name of the game. While providing a new and unique challenge for our hero.
3 3. Abyss
Abyss is a character we're both seriously hoping to see – and kind of dreading at the same time. For those unfamiliar with this character, they can literally transform other beings around them into lifeless (and mindless) slaves.
Think about that for a minute. Now think about the Valkyrie and everything she and her kind stand for. Throw in Jane's opinion on the matter, and you just know that there's no way she'd allow an antagonist such as this to continue gallivanting around in her presence.
2 2. Hela
You just knew that Hela was going to make this list, didn't you? Hela's an obvious choice for going up against our Valkyrie, for so many reasons. One of which is fairly obvious, given their chose alliances and connections.
Hela is the Goddess of Death and is currently the ruler of Hel and Niflheim. It seems likely that someday Valkyrie will traverse those realms, and the odds of a confrontation will rise steadily from that moment onward. We're certainly looking forward to seeing what happens when that moment comes.
1 1. Blackheart
Finally, the last villain on our list is Blackheart. He's the son of Mephisto and another obvious and natural choice for this list. We already know that characters are moving to interfere with Jane Foster taking up the mantle, so it stands to reason that Blackheart may be up next in that challenge.
At least, we'd like to think his odds of appearing are solid. For we'd love to see Blackheart go up against Valkyrie and her All-Weapon. It would make for a fantastic battle.
