Batman’s utility belt. Captain America’s shield. Iron Man’s armor. Half the fun of superheroes are all the cool weapons, gadgets, and toys they bring to each mission. They not only help delineate the heroes in terms of abilities, but add to the coolness factor that helps kids (and adults) like them.

Though Valiant’s a fairly young universe (at least, this incarnation), between all their superheroes and villains and the surprising number of events they’ve had in the seven years since their inception, they’ve still had more than enough time to develop some pretty impressive weapons of their own. This list examines and ranks ten of the most powerful and dangerous weapons in the Valiant Universe.

10 NINJA-K'S KATANA

It’s true enough to say that anything’s a weapon in the hands of a master warrior-slash-assassin like Ninja-K, but that’s not the only thing that got his katana onto this list. Ninja-K’s signature blade contains a whole list of additional features, starting with a high impact taser located in the hilt.

It can also secrete certain chemical compounds, meaning anything from the deadliest poisons to the most powerful anesthetics, knocking out or killing opponents with a single cut. Lastly, it’s a vibrating blade that can adjust to various frequencies, making it capable of cutting through far more than Ninja-K’s own formidable strength could. This weapon would be dangerous in just about anyone’s hands.

9 Livewire's X-O NANO SUIT

Valiant Comics' Livewire holding an advanced gun in her arm

Although Livewire is already a Psiot with technopathic abilities allowing her to “speak” to literally any technology in the world, she was also smart enough to create a suit of armor for herself. The “X-O Nano Suit” is named and modeled Aric’s X-O Armor. Though it seems like a suit of armor would be more for protection, Livewire’s nano outfit offers plenty of offensive capability.

In addition to granting the ability to fly, Livewire can gather electrostatic energy with the suit and use it to fire energy bolts. Not only that, but the suit can be altered thanks to her technopathy to take scrap and turn it into weapons like massive arm cannons.

8 NINJA-K's ARMOR

Ninjak Valiant

Colin King’s specialized Ninja-K armor is loaded to the gills with weapons, and that’s not even counting the ones he carries with the armor. Ninja-K's boots contain retractable blades and special poisons which activate on impact with someone. His gauntlets contain flamethrowers and the ability to disperse poison needles.

Ninja-K's gloves have knockout gas and (of course) retractable nails with poison on them. That’s not counting the exoskeleton's advanced strength. Even his belt contains throwing-discs that can be used as a weapon because they are made of high tensile titanium. The clothes don’t make the man, but they sure help.

7 H.A.R.D. CORPS NEURAL IMPLANT

Aside from creating Bloodshot’s nanites, Project Rising Spirit was also responsible for the H.A.R.D. Corps’ neural implants. These implants can be placed inside of military agents shown worthy of the upgrade, and serve as humanity’s method of keeping up with the rapidly developing and growing powers of the Psiots.

The upgrades allow humans to imitate Psiot abilities, at least for a brief period. They can use as many as they want, but they are limited to one at a time. Advanced users can create “sequences” in advance that switch between different powers for rapid usage.

6 BLOODSHOT'S NANITES

bloodshot

Bloodshot is a being made by Project Rising Spirit to become the ultimate soldier. In addition to erasing Bloodshot’s memory, Rising Spirit injected him with nanites that granted some incredible abilities and transformed him into someone that’s impossible to stop on the battlefield.

Bloodshot can regenerate from any wound, meaning there aren’t enough bullets to stop him. He has a measure of super-strength and stamina, and he can even use his nanites to control other machines around him. The only limit to his abilities is that they only work if he can consume enough protein to supply the nanites with energy.

5 ETERNAL WARRIOR

Eternal Warrior

For a list like this, it makes more sense to include Eternal Warrior’s ax over Gilad himself. But there’s nothing special about his ax, it’s just the Warrior's weapon of choice. Gilad Anni-Padda is an immortal being with a healing factor, super-strength, durability, stamina, and endurance.

The Eternal Warrior never gets tired, and he’s spent several millennia protecting or fighting in the name of one cause or another. He has learned to use all manner of weaponry and defeated entire armies on his own. The Warrior's ax isn’t the weapon: It is all Gilad. Which made it all the more unfortunate when the Warrior's body was stolen.

4 SHADOW SCYTHE

Jack Boniface is the man responsible for protecting the realm of the living from the realm of the dead. Along with being bonded with a voodoo spirit to turn him into Shadowman, Jack’s special weapon is the Shadow Scythe. Though he has his own set of powers, the shadow scythe expands his abilities greatly.

To begin with, it allows Jack to travel back and forth between our world and the Deadside. It can also control or - if they get out of hand - vaporize dead spirits. Lastly, the scythe controls some of the darker impulses that come from being merged with a loa/voodoo spirit.

3 SUNLIGHT ON SNOW

The ‘bot with a heart of gold, Sunlight on Snow (or Mech Major, as his creator Harada rudely calls it) is one of Toyo Harada’s Medbots that gained sentience upon being exposed to nanite AI. Aside from its incredible intellect, Sunlight is gifted with the ability to project holograms, heal people, generate heat and plasma beams, and interface with other technology thanks to the nanites within it.

Fortunately, despite all these incredible abilities, Sunlight on Snow is more concerned with witnessing the beauty of the world than ruling it with an iron fist or wiping out all of humanity and replacing them with robots.

2 GIN-GR

GIN-GR was one of many sentient organic robots that traveled through space in large groups, except her race was almost entirely wiped out when they ran into a meteor shower. Though it feels wrong to classify a generally peaceful being capable of advanced thought as a "weapon," GIN-GR has such incredible powers that it would be strange to describe her as anything else.

Besides being large enough to serve as a base for an army and possessing incredible strength of her own, GIN-GR is capable of nuclear-level energy projection, can generate holograms, and fly both in Earth’s atmosphere and in outer space. Also working under the Armor Masters, she single-handedly obliterated Mexico City.

1 X-O MANOWAR Armor

The X-O Armor (or its original name, Shanhara) is a sentient suit of armor that makes its wearer one of the most powerful beings in the Valiant Universe. The suit grants expected things like super strength and incredible durability, but it is also capable of so much more.

The suit can regenerate any part of its user’s body. It can create, project, and absorb massive amounts of energy, which is why Aric often goes into battle with a sword made of energy. It’s even capable of teleportation, invisibility, and traveling to planets elsewhere in the galaxy without the user needing to eat or drink. Aric, the armor's current pilot, seems to be unable to find Shanhara's limits.
