Valiant Reveals Plans for New Quantum & Woody, Ninjak, Faith & More

Valiant Entertainment announced a slew of new titles at its Valiant Summit event held in Downtown LA – chief among them, a new volume starring their flagship buddy superhero team, titled "Quantum and Woody!"

Debuting in December, the new ongoing "Q&W!" series will be written by Daniel Kibblesmith and drawn by "Daredevil" artist Kano; the series is set to focus on the secret that Eric Henderson (A.K.A. Quantum) has been keeping from his trouble-making adopted brother Woody all these years: The identity of his birth father.

That's the kind of situation that can strain any family relationship, so imagine how much worse it gets when the siblings in question have to share a one-bedroom apartment with a goat, fight crime, and touch their wristbands together every 24 hours to avoid dissipating into nothingness.

Launching in November, Valiant is releasing a new ongoing series from writer Christos Gage (Netflix’s "Daredevil") and artist Tomas Giorello ("X-O Manowar"): "NINJA-K," the most recent addition to the top-secret British intelligence service's NINJA program. According to the publisher's press release, the program started with "NINJA-A, the Queen’s silent weapon of World War I," which seems odd, considering Britain didn't actually have a Queen during that conflict.

With an unknown assassin now wiping out the remaining members of the NINJA PROGRAMME one-by-one, NINJA-K is next on the list.

Then in October there is the enigmatic "ETERNITY." Written by "Mind MGMT's" Matt Kindt and drawn by "Judge Dredd" artist Trevor Hairline, the title promises "an expedition into the Unknown. Beyond time... Beyond space… Beyond reality itself…"

But before all that, in July, "Harbinger's" breakout superhero star Faith “Zephyr” Herbert is set to feature in a new centuries-spanning series titled "Faith and the Future Force," written by Jody Houser ("Mother Panic," "Star Wars: Rogue One"), and drawn by Stephen Segovia ("NINJAK," "Action Comics"), Barry Kitson ("Fantastic Four") and a host of special guests.

The press release notes of the new series, "a devious artificial intelligence has unleashed a blistering attack on the very foundations of time...one that is unwriting history from beginning to end!" This leaves Timewalker Neela Sethi with few options but to head to the 21st century to recruit Faith to lead a team of Earth's greatest heroes.
