Valiant heroes are the stuff video game dreams are made of. If you're a fan of Valiant Comics, you're probably aching to play games that are rooting in this unique universe. The good news is that with Valiant's new ownership, lots of new Valiant video games are on the way after a partnership with Blowfish Studios.

An official statement from DMG Entertainment (owner of Valiant) recently confirmed that there are new games coming, and some of the VR titles will give fans the chance "to put themselves in the shoes of one of the series’ main heroes." Pretty exciting stuff, especially when you consider recent statements made by CEO Dan Mintz about Valiant's upcoming games. So which heroes are best-suited to a new video game?

9 Bloodshot

With all the hype generated from the Bloodshot movie, making a game that revolved around this character is another obvious choice - and it's happening. Many fans might have been introduced to the character of Bloodshot for the first time after watching the movie.

These fans will likely be getting into the comics, and a new video game could allow them to dive even deeper into the Valiant universe. Blowfish Studios will need to take cues from other successful superhero games like 2018's Spiderman.

8 Harbinger

Harbinger is an interesting Valiant series because it's a comic book based on a team of superheroes rather than a single individual. Just don't compare them to the Avengers. This group of teenaged heroes has serious powers, and many are "psionics."

A video game centered around Harbinger might be a little tricky to pull off because of the vast range of characters. Perhaps the player could choose a team of psionics and level them up while taking control of one central character, sort of like Mass Effect's system.

7 Ninjak

Ninjak is one of the coolest heroes in the Valiant universe, and a video game centered around this character would pretty much write itself. When Valiant published the series in 1996, they told a story of a teen who gained superhuman ninja powers after playing a video game.

Playing a video game about a character who gains powers after a video game would be "meta" to say the least. With a plot like that, you can't not make a video game out of this series.

6 Rai

Rai is another one of Valiant's top comic book series, and it's also one of its longest-running narratives. With games like Cyberpunk 2077 on the horizon, it's clear that gamers love that Blade Runner-esque aesthetic.

This is exactly what gamers can expect from a game centered around Rai. There's just so much interesting lore in this series, and developers could take their pick from a wide range of established narratives to create the first-ever Rai video game.

5 X-O Manowar

Along with Bloodshot and Harbinder, X-O Manowar is another one of Valiant's most popular heroes. The hero uses advanced alien armor to defeat his foes, and he travels through time in his comic book story. X-O Manowar is another Valiant hero who is strongly rumored to have an upcoming movie, perhaps starring John Cena in the lead role.

Because of the character's advanced armor, this video game could share similarities with games such as Halo or Doom. Of course, we wouldn't want it to be a carbon copy of those games, and that's where the established narratives from Valiant comics could provide a fresh take.

4 Ivar Timewalker

Sure, Ivar Timewalker might not be the most popular Valiant hero, but his stories could be used as the basis for a seriously awesome video game. Of all the games we've mentioned, Timewalker might be the best candidate for an RPG. The whole premise of this comic book is that even the smallest changes can have massive effects on future history. Seeing a branching storyline where the player actually affects branching timelines in the future would be amazing.

DMG CEO Dan Mintz recognizes the importance of decision-making in telling Valiant stories, so an RPG of this type is not out of the realms of possibility. Speaking about Valiant's heroes, Dan Mintz explained "The challenges that they have and the way they make decisions is really, really fascinating to me, and I think that that's a big part of what makes Valiant so unusual."

3 Armorines

Valiant's Armorines is another example of one of their comics that has already been turned into a video game. Way back in 1999, ArmorinesProject S.W.A.R.M was released for the N64. The game was poorly executed, and it really didn't do the Armorines series justice.

Making another game today could be a smart choice, and it could make a great squad-based or turn-based game. Armorines is based around a team of heroes, not a single individual, and so the game could be geared towards more tactical gameplay.

2 Shadowman

Shadowman

Unlike the aforementioned title, Shadow Man received better reviews when it was released on N64 back in 1999. Today, it has a rating of 9/10 on Steam. The game is of course based on the Valiant comic, Shadowman.

A reboot of the game could be a solid choice, especially because the comic has such a unique blend of horror, supernatural themes, and action. There are also rumors that a Shadowman movie is on the way, which makes sense because the comic is one of Valiant's most popular franchises.

1 The Forgotten Queen

Okay, so The Forgotten Queen might not be Valiant's best known comic series, but it's also one of their newest. This comic represents some of the company's most ambitious new ideas, and it has a gorgeous art style.

It's a story about an ancient woman (war-monger) with magical powers that revolve around war and destruction. Many call her a "witch." A game about this character would transport players into the past, during the time of Ghengis Khan and other historical empires. It's a long shot - but maybe they'll listen.
