“V for Vendetta” Review & News Index

The Wachowski Bros, the men behind the “Matrix” films. Acclaimed actors Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving. A classic Alan Moore story. Lots of explosions. Is this the recipe for a spectacular failure or marvelous success?

With the Friday release of the feature film “V For Vendetta,” DC Comics‘ popular graphic novel is the latest comic book film to inspire quite a bit of media attention. The Warner Bros flick has been well-received by many mainstream critics, with a strong marketing campaign designed to incite a lot of excitement for the March 17th release and CBR News has been part of that media explosion. Last year, CBR Executive Producer Jonah Weiland ventured to the set of “V For Vendetta,” in beautiful England, and was able to speak with the cast and crew, asking the questions that you wanted answered. Did Natalie Portman feel really attached to her hair? What is it like acting behind a mask? And what’s it like to direct such a controversial film? You asked the questions and Jonah got the answers for you, in typical CBR fashion.

Most recently, Guest Contributor Adi Tantimedh was able to attend the film’s press junket and provide an early review of the film. With the growing fan frenzy in mind, CBR News has created a one stop source for our extensive coverage of the film, and, as always, Hannibal Tabu’s daily “Comic Reel Wrap” columns will provide you with everything you want to know about “V.” So come on in, pull up a chair and learn more about the film we know you’ll be seeing this weekend.

Did you enjoy “V For Vendetta” or any other recent comic book film? Come share your thoughts on CBR’s TV/Film Forum.
