V For Vendetta, Fantastic Four, Smallville, Blade: Trinity: November 18th Comic Reel Wrap


In a follow up to a story we reported more than a year ago, Variety reports that James McTeigue, is in final talks with Warner Bros. to make his helming debut on the adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel V for Vendetta. According to Variety, the Wachowskis, creators of "The Matrix" trilogy, will produce with Warners-based producer Joel Silver.


Hollywood North Report has a fresh set report from the Vancouver set of the Tim Story-helmed film. Of course that means new set photos as well. The security around there must have worked at Arkham Asylum ...

The film that would not die ... Fangoria saw a screening of the movie and posted a slightly spoilerish review (scroll down, you'll find it). Make-Up Effects Group spoke about their work on the film via their website, as did Rising Sun Pictures and The Lab, with more details here. You can listen to a clip from the score or check a note from musician Jody Raffoul's website talking about the song "Dead Man Walking," which will be in the opening sequence of the film. Whew!


According to Comics Continuum, "Spider-Man" actor J.K. Simmons provided a guest-voice as General Eiling for the upcoming "Dark Heart" episode of Cartoon Network's Justice League Unlimited. The episode is written by Warren Ellis and directed by Dan Riba, and according to Ellis' Bad Signal mailing list, has already been shown in Canada and is available on BitTorrent P2P servers. Also in the episode is The Atom, who is again voiced by John C. McGinley, star of NBC's "Scrubs."
