USA has postponed the season finale of its hit hacker drama "Mr. Robot" in the aftermath of the shooting of two journalists in Virginia today on live television. The episode reportedly contains a scene of gun violence that bears similarities to the murders.

“The previously filmed season finale of 'Mr. Robot' contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia,” the cable network said in a statement. “Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time.”

Last week's episode will instead be rebroadcast tonight, with the finale airing Wednesday, Sept. 2.
