Jordan Peele's Us received significant praise from fans and critics alike during its initial theatrical release. A fitting follow-up to Peele's Oscar-winning debut, Get Out, Us examines the fallacies of human nature through an ultra-violent lens. Despite its popularity, however, leading actress Lupita Nyongo'o asserts that she has no interest in a sequel.

In an interview with Deadline, Nyongo'o affirmed that playing two different characters – Adelaide Wilson and Red – was "very, very, challenging."

Lupita Nyongo'o went on to talk about the specifics of her dual roles, "I had to hold down both sides of the argument. I had to be the offender and the offended. It was about understanding the emotional landscape of each character but also having a very strict discipline to play both physically and mentally."

Despite her reservations to be involved with a sequel, her dedication to the two roles was recognized by the New York Film Critics Circle. She was named Best Actress of the year.

Us is written, directed and produced by Jordan Peele. The film stars Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss, Anna Diop, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Kara Hayward, Tim Heidecker and Shahadi Wright Joseph. The film is available in Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
