Less than 48 hours following the debut of the initial "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer -- which reportedly received 88,000 social media mentions in the first 12 hours after its debut -- Marvel has released a new clip focused on team member Rocket Raccoon. Its the first (albeit brief) footage of the CGI-rendered character speaking, with the voice of two-time Academy Award-nominated actor Bradley Cooper.

"Rocket is the heart of the movie in a lot of ways," director James Gunn says in the teaser of the character created by Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen. "Rocket has some real anger issues," Cooper adds.

UPDATE 2/20/2014 11:56 AM PT: Marvel has released the second in the series of "Meet the Guardians" YouTube videos, this time focusing on Vin Diesel as Groot. However, the video doesn't contain Diesel -- either in real life or as CGI-Groot -- saying the character's signature catchphrase: "I am Groot."

"Groot is one of the strangest characters Marvel's ever attempted to put on film," Diesel said in the clip. "Breathing life into a character, it's great."

UPDATE 2/20/2014 12:42 PM PT: The next "Meet the Guardians" video has been released, focusing on Dave Bautista as Drax.

"He's basically living solely for revenge," Bautista said. "Drax is a warrior. He's a very emotional character, and he's dealing with a lot of pain. But I love Drax. I kind of feel like Drax is now mine."

UPDATE 2/20/2014 12:50 PM PT: The fourth "Meet the Guardians" video features Zoe Saldana talking her role as Gamora. If this pace keeps up, a Star-Lord-centric video -- the fifth and final piece of the main "Guardians of the Galaxy" cast -- should be released soon.

"Gamora is this stealth assassin," Saldana says. "She's relentless, he's lethal, she's rough. She can kill you, but has a heart of gold, and I like that about her."

UPDATE 2/20/2014 1:05 PM PT: The fifth -- and likely final -- "Meet the Guardians" video wraps up coverage for the quintet with Chris Pratt as Star-Lord.

"Peter Quill's not a superhero," Pratt says. "He's just a guy who uses his cunning and his charm to get him out of situations."
