Marvel Comics has given CBR an exclusive preview of The United States of Captain America #1, by Christopher Cantwell, Dale Eaglesham, Josh Trujillo, Jan Bazaldua, Matt Milla and VC's Joe Caramagna. While the early part of the preview deals with Steve Rogers losing his shield and Sam Wilson having to help him find it, the latter pages introduce Aaron Fischer, the Captain America of the Railways. In the preview, Fischer, who is openly gay, investigates the disappearances of unhoused kids, having been inspired by the heroics of Captain America.

In the press release for the book, Trujillo described Fischer as having been "inspired by heroes of the queer community: activists, leaders, and everyday folks pushing for a better life. He stands for the oppressed, and the forgotten. I hope his debut story resonates with readers and helps inspire the next generation of heroes."

You can see CBR's exclusive preview of The United States of Captain America #1 below alongside the solicitation information for the book. The first issue of the mini-series will feature covers by Alex Ross; Carmen Carnero and Alejandro Sánchez; Jan Bazaldua; Nick Robles; and Todd Nauck and Rachelle Rosenberg.
