Kate Beckinsale once again dishes out the pain in the latest trailer for "Underworld: Blood Wars," the fifth installment in the action-horror franchise.

Debuting today at New York Comic Con, the trailer reveals that both vampires and Lycans are on the hunt for Selene's blood — the only thing that can end the centuries-long war between the two factions.

The trailer depicts the power of Selene’s blood once unlocked, allowing her to nimbly teleport between enemies and cut them down with a decidedly unfriendly-looking blade. While the trailer is heavy on action and light on story, Charles Dance’s character Thomas, one of the vampire elders, drops a hint about Selene’s purity as a vampire and, perhaps, her blood.

The franchise debuted in 2003 with “Underworld,” starring Beckinsale as a vampire death dealer determined to destroy the Lycan clan that murdered her family. The sequel, 2006's “Underworld: Evolution," dug deeper into vampire and Lycan mythology, while the next film, 2009's “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans," focused almost exclusively on Lycan history. The previous film, 2012's “Underworld: Awakening," imagined a world in which humans have nearly eradicated both factions.
