Black Adam is easily one of the most powerful characters in DC Comics history, and he's finally made his way onto the big screen. His powers include super strength, superhuman stamina, wisdom, speed, genius-level intellect, and courage. Due to his impressive powers, Black Adam has endured standing toe-to-toe with some of DC's most powerful heroes, including Shazam, Green Lantern, and Superman.

But DC is not the only comic universe full of powerful superheroes, and Black Adam is not unbeatable. Despite his impressive power, Black Adam does possess weaknesses, such as vulnerability to magic and thunderbolts. Several heroes in the Marvel Universe would be more than a match for Black Adam in battle. Many of the Marvel heroes who stand a chance at beating Black Adam are also severely underrated characters.

10 America Chavez's List Of Powers Rivals Black Adams

Heroes experience difficulty fighting Black Adam due not only to his power level but also due to the sheer number of superpowers that he possesses. The list of powers makes sense, as his original primary opponent was Shazam, who boasts an equally long list of powers.

In the Marvel Universe, America Chavez's powers include superhuman strength, speed, durability, bulletproof skin, and flight. America can also teleport and travel through dimensions. Considering that Black Adam can use the power of Aten to travel through dimensions, America is one of the few Marvel heroes who may be able to triumph over him.

9 Monica Rambeau's Electromagnetic Spectrum Powers May Overcome Black Adam

On one hand, Aten's power fuels a magical lightning bolt for Black Adam, and Black Adam uses that lightning bolt to transform, as a weapon, and to travel through dimensions. Yet powerful bolts of lightning can also cause severe harm to Black Adam, to the point that he transforms back to his alter ego, the un-powered Theth-Adam.

Although Monica Rambeau has played only a small role in the MCU, she has a long and powerful history in the comics. The character possesses the ability to convert her entire body into any form of electromagnetic energy. As Black Adam's weaknesses include lightning, Monica's abilities may allow her to defeat him.

8 Nico Minoru Can Cast Any Spell

In the DCEU film, Black Adam will be at odds with Doctor Fate. As one of the most powerful magical beings in the DC Universe, Fate's spellcasting abilities definitely have the ability to stop Black Adam in his tracks.

In the Marvel Universe, Nico Minoru from The Runaways is one of the most powerful magic users. With the Staff of One as her weapon, Nico can cast any spell she wants. She also possesses magical teleportation and shielding. Nico could easily cast a spell to take away Black Adam's powers and reduce him back to his un-powered self.

7 Clea Harnesses Powerful Magic

While Black Adam is vulnerable to magic, not all magic can affect him. Since Adam's powers are derived from magic, only extremely powerful magical users have the strength to hurt him. This is one of the reasons he is pitted against Doctor Fate when fighting against the Justice League.

A one-time leader of the Dark Dimension, Clea has also taken over for Doctor Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme. In addition to mastering magic, Clea possesses the ability to wield energy bolts and fly. She's also highly resistant to energy, can teleport, and can perform telekinesis. As one of the more powerful magical beings in the Marvel Universe, Clea could easily de-power Black Adam.

6 Blue Marvel Operates On The Same Power Level As Black Adam

Black Adam's impressive levels of strength have allowed him to defeat the Earth-3 Superman. For a Marvel hero to fight against Black Adam, they have to be able to handle that level of power.

Blue Marvel, whose real name is Adam Brashear, uses anti-matter energy absorption as the source of superhuman strength and invulnerability. This gives him enhanced mental powers to match Black Adam's genius-level intellect. It also gives Blue Marvel the ability to manipulate energy and matter at the molecular level. These are the kind of powers that directly target Black Adam's vulnerabilities and match his strength.

5 Wonder Man Has Always Been One Of The Most Powerful Avengers

Black Adam would simply crush many of the Avengers. However, Wonder Man possesses a power set that places him above most of the Avengers and would make him a formidable foe for Black Adam.

Wonder Man has the standard "Superman" level power set. He is super strong, super fast, flies, heals quickly, has increased stamina, is nearly immortal, and is super durable. But for Black Adam, Wonder Man's most damaging powers may be his ability to weaponize energy and send energy beams from both his hands and eyes. Fighting Superman already gives Black Adam difficulty, and fighting Wonder Man would be like fighting a Superman with the kind of energy powers that target Black Adam's vulnerabilities.

4 Squirrel Girl Would Defeat Black Adam As Easily As She Defeats Everyone Else

If the name Squirrel Girl makes it sound like she might not be a match for Black Adam's impressive powers, a little refresher course into Doreen Green's undefeated champion skills is needed.

Squirrel Girl's list of victories includes wins against Doctor Doom, Ego the Living Planet, and Thanos. She also fought against Galactus in a scenario that allowed her to talk Galactus out of eating Earth. With her superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes, Doreen could easily keep Black Adam distracted long enough to make him see the wisdom in calling off the battle.

3 Richard Rider Has The Powers Of The Entire Nova Force

One of the most disappointing aspects of the Black Adam movie is that it will not involve Green Lantern in its Justice Society line-up. In the Marvel Universe, the closest equivalent of the Green Lantern Corps is the character of Nova, who takes part in the Nova Corps.

Richard Rider received his Nova Force powers through an energy transfer that gives him flight, durability, speed, and strength. The Nova Force energy force also allows Nova to absorb and release energy beams. As Black Adam is susceptible to lightning, Nova may be able to use the Nova Force's energy manipulation to defeat Black Adam.

2 Sentry Has The Power Of "One Million Exploding Suns"

Marvel Comics' Sentry in space above Earth.

The character of Sentry is Marvel's answer to Superman. Robert Reynolds wants to be the best superhero possible, but he carries around the supervillain known as The Void inside of him. As a result, Sentry has all of Superman's powers along with additional powers, such as energy manipulation, invisibility, and teleportation. Sentry's power levels are quoted as being equal to the powers of "a million exploding suns."

To demonstrate how powerful Sentry can be, Sentry once ripped the god Ares in half. Arguably, he's more powerful than Superman. Black Adam would certainly put up a good fight, but Sentry would overpower him.

1 Brian Braddock's Self-Confidence May Allow Him To Defeat Black Adam

Brian Braddock in Battleworld

Mehen's courage gives Black Adam psychological benefits, such as willpower, discipline, and the power to continue on in battle. As a result, Black Adam does not suffer from fear or despair in battle.

In the Marvel Universe, Brian Braddock, sometimes known as Captain Britain, possesses a number of superhuman traits, such as strength, stamina, durability, and speed. But his unique trait is linked to the fact that his powers are linked to his self-confidence. The more confidence he possesses in his abilities, the more powerful he is. With enough self-confidence, Brian Braddock could easily match Black Adam's lack of fear and despair and claim a victory.
