Uncovered Concept Art Reveals a Different 'Aladdin'

Official Disney blog Oh My Disney has provided a look at never seen before concept art created for Aladdin. The modern Disney classic hit the big screen in 1992, in the middle of the company's late '80s/early '90s return to pop culture dominance. The film became a big hit for the studio, grossing  $217 million domestically -- which means that a lot of people know what Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar and Genie look like.

Oh My Disney turns everyone's memories of Aladdin upside down with this concept art, which reveals that every character could have looked a lot different. A lamp with a face? Jasmine in pink? A gray Abu? Some characters didn't change too much; Aladdin landed on his classic vest and fez combo fairly early on following some "young Aladdin" sketches, seen above. You can check out a few pieces of art below and the rest of the concept art over on Oh My Disney.
