The following contains spoilers for Uncle from Another World Episode 3, "I'm Your Un--...Aunt, Dear", now streaming on Netflix.

Arguably the best perk of getting transported to a dreadful world sprawling with monsters and demons is learning to use magic. As someone who returns from getting isekaied, Uncle from Another World's titular main character enjoys this perk. He has no intention of hiding his special power, though other people still refuse to believe he has it. One of the people in the dark about his powers is the newly-introduced Fujimiya, but she finally discovers the truth in Episode 3.

Fujimiya, introduced in Episode 2, is Takafumi's childhood friend who also holds some unrequited feelings for him, though she continually tries to make something out of it. As Takafumi's secret admirer, she has taken it as her responsibility to save him from his supposed parasitic uncle, thinking Yosuke was just freeloading on his nephew.

Shy Fujimiya in Uncle from Another World

Fujimiya visited the nephew and uncle duo in Episode 3, though she found them in a weird situation. Takafumi was slumped on the floor covering his face with his hands, while uncle was giggling as he typed on his laptop. As such, the bothered girl started citing Japan's problem with unemployment. She also made sure to comment on the burden an unemployed uncle was potentially giving to his nephew. While uncle was hustling as a YouTuber, Fujimiya doubted he was earning enough to actually contribute to their living expenses. She even noted that Takafumi couldn't live with his girlfriend because of their current setup, prompting Yosuke to make a move.

After realizing Fujimiya's worries and intentions, Yosuke casually asked her to live with them, reasoning that Takafumi's room could sleep two. However, the nephew was quick to shoot that idea down, explaining the room was not that spacious and fitting two people inside would make it cramped. At that moment, however, he had to go out, leaving the other two to their own devices. Yosuke attempted to provide Fujimiya with some love advice, but the girl refused to accept it as he was not reliable enough. As such, Yosuke changed forms -- literally.

Enthusiastic Yosuke in Uncle from Another World

Yosuke assumed the tsundere elf's form in an attempt to gain Fujimiya's trust. When Takafumi abruptly returned, he tricked his uncle into filming a YouTube video in that form. They then proceeded to address Fujimiya and Takafumi's past and, to say the least, Fujimiya's younger appearance came as a surprise.

Yosuke was further surprised after realizing that Takafumi still recognized his childhood friend despite the drastic change in appearance, causing him to regain his trust in humanity. However, it was quick to fall apart again when his new video reached astronomical numbers. Disappointed, Yosuke returned to his usual appearance in front of Fujimiya.

When Fujimiya was first introduced in Uncle from Another World, her initial gimmick seemed to be keeping her in the dark about Yosuke's abilities, which opens a lot of opportunities for misunderstanding comedy skits. However, that is no longer possible after she discovered the truth in Episode 3, raising the question of what else her character can offer the series moving forward.
