Uncharted was a big hit at the box office its opening weekend and has secured itself as Sony's next tentpole franchise. With Sony Pictures Chief Tom Rothman sounding the victory bell, it is only a matter of time until a sequel is green-lit and fans start speculating what's coming next. Sony made a significant amount of changes when adapting the video game into a feature film, but there is one character who is bound to make it into the live-action series.

That character is Nathan Drake's true love and fellow adventurer, Elena Fisher. This character is one of the greatest in the series as she challenges Nate in the best ways possible and grows alongside him throughout the games. There are plenty of young actors in Hollywood who could play this role with precision, so let's see who might be at the top of Sony's list.

Kathryn Newton's MCU Appearance Is the Perfect Segway Into Action-Adventure

Since she burst on the scene in 2017's hit HBO series Big Little Lies, Kathryn Newton has been making a name for herself in Hollywood. She has proven to be a formidable actor in the canceled-too-soon Netflix series The Society and a potential action star as she preps for her MCU appearance in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Whoever plays Elena must be able to go toe to toe with Tom Holland’s physicality and wit, both of which Newton has plenty of. Furthermore, they must be able to have palpable romantic chemistry, and thankfully, both are brilliant at creating with their scene partners.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo Jumped From The Society to Star Wars

While she is the least known among the other actors on this list, Liu Bordizzo is certainly one to keep an eye out for. A fellow castmate of Newton in Netflix's The Society, the Australian actor was a stand out on the short-lived series. The way the 27-year-old performer created a complex character out of an underwritten part gave insight into her potential as a star. It was recently announced that Natasha Liu Bordizzo is set to portray Sabine Ren in the upcoming Disney+ Ahsoka series. This shows not only is the young actor capable of holding down an action role but that Disney believes in her ability to stand out in a franchise.

Ana de Armas Screams for More Screen Time After No Time to Die

From Knives Out to No Time to Die, which just snagged an Oscar nomination, Ana de Armas is making moves in the industry. The Cuban actor has proven time and time again that she has a broad range and can steal the screen from massive stars. In the latest Bond installment, many fans were disappointed with her limited screen time as she created a compelling character despite the short appearance. De Armas can do it all, just like Elena, but has yet to be snagged as a long-term massive franchise player. The inevitable four more Uncharted movies may just be the perfect fit for this future superstar.

Sydney Sweeney's Success in Euphoria Proves She's Perfect for Uncharted

Thanks to her success in Euphoria and The White Lotus, Sydney Sweeney has become one of Gen Z's most recognizable faces. She has yet to dip her toes into any action fare, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't be a good fit. Sadly, despite her vast potential, Sweeney has been pigeonholed into playing fairly similar tropes of characters. If Sony gave her the chance to join its new favorite action franchise, they would clinch more Gen Z patrons and force Hollywood to consider her for more roles. She also may look the most like Elena from the games, so that may win her a few points with the Naughty Dog purists.

Chloë Grace Moretz's Experience Makes Her a Prime Elena Fisher Candidate

Chloe Grace Moretz Punchign in Shadow in the Cloud

Despite only being 25, Chloë Grace Moretz is the most seasoned actor of all the previously listed talent. Moretz has been consistently entertaining American audiences for nearly twenty years and has truly grown up in front of them. She has seemingly done so while simultaneously escaping much of the drama and terror child actors often go through. Sadly, to no fault of her own, her past several projects like Shadow in the Cloud and Mother/Android have fallen flat among audiences. And, of course, fans agree that Hit-Girl deserves better. Moretz has plenty of experience working with action set pieces and has far more memorable performances than bad ones. This combined with her experience makes her a shoo-in to co-star next to Holland in the upcoming Uncharted installments.
