After teasing the return of Uncanny X-Men at Comic-Con International, Marvel Comics has finally revealed additional details regarding the title, including the creative team and opening story arc. Of course, this is the X-Men, so the teaser also raises a few questions... and features a massive cast.

Writers Ed Brisson, Kelly Thompson and Matthew Rosenberg will be joined by artists Mahmud Asrar, R.B. Silva, Yildiray Cinar and Pere Perez to launch Uncanny X-Men with a 10-part weekly storyline titled "Disassembled." Marvel also released a massive "Disassembled" teaser image by David Marquez and Rachelle Rosenberg that features just about every single X-Man and mutant in the Marvel Universe.

If you're well-versed in all things X-Men, then the teaser should provide a look at some familiar faces -- even an X-Man who will undergo a drastic change between now and the first issue's release on November 14. However, if you can't tell your Archangel from your Angel and need some help identifying each hero, then you've come to the right place. We have decided to take on the challenge of naming each mutant in the Uncanny X-Men artwork, while also providing some essential background information for key characters.

Leaders Of The Pack (Bottom Middle)

Front and center in the middle of the image are three women who are no strangers to leading their own team of X-Men: the revived, adult Jean Grey, Storm and Kitty Pryde. Having these three women together side-by-side shows how much Marvel believes they are the undisputed leaders of the X-Men in the present as well as the future.

Jean Grey recently came back to life in the Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey five-issue miniseries, and is now the leader of X-Men Red. Kitty Pryde became the headmaster of the newly-opened Xavier Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach, along with the leader of X-Men Gold. For all intents and purposes, Kitty is the public face of the X-Men. Finally, Storm is a member of X-Men Gold and X-Men Red, but is no stranger to taking a leadership role among the group and can always be counted on to offer up sage advice when called upon. Storm recently regained her Asgardian hammer, Stormcaster.

Fire, Ice and a Bamf (Top Middle)

Above the leaders are even more familiar faces to X-Men fans, including another back-from-the-dead character and two flamethrowers. Nightcrawler, Banshee and Iceman take up the middle of the X logo, with Sunfire and Firestar to the left, and Pixie and Archangel to the right.

Nightcrawler is a member of the X-Men Gold and Red squads, and has a blossoming romance with fellow teammate Prestige that has hit a rocky spot after her mental manipulation by the villain Mesmero. Banshee had been absent from the X-books over the last few years, but has returned in a big way as a part of Matthew Rosenberg and Greg Land's revamped Astonishing X-Men lineup. Iceman is yet another member of X-Men Gold, even helping to recruit a new team to stand in for the standard unit during a story arc. Bobby Drake will also headline his own Iceman limited series after the previous volume was canceled.

Sunfire always seems to come in and out of the X-Men comics, with one of his last appearances as a part of the very first Unity Squad in Rick Remender's Uncanny Avengers. Aside from being a member of the New Warriors, Firestar also joined the X-Men during Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness' Amazing X-Men. Pixie is one of the more popular recent additions to the X-Men, and Warren Worthington has once again succumbed to his darker Archangel persona in Charles Soule's run of Astonishing X-Men.

Mr. And Mrs. X And Multiple Men (Left)

The left quadrant of the teaser image increases the number of mutants we have to count up, but a portion of that can be attributed to Jamie Madrox and his duplicates. Beginning on the first row is the newlywed couple of Rogue and Gambit, the stars of Kelly Thompson and Oscar Bazaldua's Mr. and Mrs. X. To their left is X-23, who is starring in a relaunch of her ongoing series, and her cloned sister Honey Badger.

We also have stalwarts Jubilee, Bishop and Beast. Jubilee was an instructor in Generation X (where she lost her vampire abilities), Bishop was on the previous roster of Astonishing X-Men, and Beast is a part of the title's new team.

Gentle and Trinary are perhaps the newest additions to the X-Men, where they appear in X-Men Red as they battle Cassandra Nova. The mercenary Domino was recruited by Old Man Logan for Weapon X (and still works with the team in the rechristened Weapon X-Force).

Marvel is publishing a Multiple Man limited series by Rosenberg and Andy MacDonald, telling the story of how the duplicate-producing mutant is back from the dead. Glob, Shark Girl, Eye-Boy, Nature Girl and Rockslide were students at the Xavier Institute, where Husk (who can be seen ripping the skin off her left forearm) and Jubilee were instructors in Generation X.

Speaking of students, the New X-Men series of the early 2000s had many of the younger mutants named above, along with Armor, Surge and Prodigy. Last but not least, Rachel Summers debuted her new codename of Prestige in X-Men Gold, the New Mutants: Dead Souls miniseries starred Wolfsbane, and Shatterstar will see his first solo miniseries arrive in the fall.

Astonishing X-Men And New Mutants (Right)

Our final quadrant of X-Men to the right has veterans as well as the younger guard. Colossus, Havok, Dazzler and Warpath are a part of Astonishing X-Men's revamped roster, with all four characters undergoing personal developments. Colossus had the misfortune of having Kitty turn him down on what was supposed to be their wedding day; Havok's inverted personality was reversed in X-Men Blue; Dazzler looks to finally be accepting her place with the X-Men as a hero; and Warpath left Weapon X when Sabretooth took over the reigns from Old Man Logan.

Magik brought the New Mutants together in the Dead Souls series, and what looks to be Elizabeth Braddock (Psylocke) is back in her Caucasian body for the first time in over a decade. Her appearance may be the most surprising of anyone pictured in the teaser, leaving fans wondering when this transformation may take place. The most likely location is in Hunt For Wolverine: Mystery in Madripoor, with the final issue arriving August 22.

Whenever the X-Men need something built, Forge is the man to call. More New X-Men and New Mutants are shown, with Hellion, Dust, Anole and Mercury representing New X-Men, and Sunspot, Magma, Cypher, Boom Boom and Cannonball standing tall for the New Mutants. Wolverine and the X-Men and All-New X-Men stars Genesis (a clone of Apocalypse), Idie Okonkwo and a Bamf are also displayed. Rounding out the oversized cast are Polaris and Northstar.

As overwhelming as this list may seem, there are still a few key Marvel mutants missing. From Old Man Logan to the original Wolverine, we have to wonder if there will be even more characters to pop up once the 10-part Uncanny X-Men weekly event begins.
