All of the Uncanny X-Men in Marvel's Disassembled Teaser

After teasing the return of Uncanny X-Men at Comic-Con International, Marvel Comics has finally revealed additional details regarding the title, including the creative team and opening story arc. Of course, this is the X-Men, so the teaser also raises a few questions... and features a massive cast.

Writers Ed Brisson, Kelly Thompson and Matthew Rosenberg will be joined by artists Mahmud Asrar, R.B. Silva, Yildiray Cinar and Pere Perez to launch Uncanny X-Men with a 10-part weekly storyline titled "Disassembled." Marvel also released a massive "Disassembled" teaser image by David Marquez and Rachelle Rosenberg that features just about every single X-Man and mutant in the Marvel Universe.

If you're well-versed in all things X-Men, then the teaser should provide a look at some familiar faces -- even an X-Man who will undergo a drastic change between now and the first issue's release on November 14. However, if you can't tell your Archangel from your Angel and need some help identifying each hero, then you've come to the right place. We have decided to take on the challenge of naming each mutant in the Uncanny X-Men artwork, while also providing some essential background information for key characters.

Leaders Of The Pack (Bottom Middle)

Front and center in the middle of the image are three women who are no strangers to leading their own team of X-Men: the revived, adult Jean Grey, Storm and Kitty Pryde. Having these three women together side-by-side shows how much Marvel believes they are the undisputed leaders of the X-Men in the present as well as the future.

Jean Grey recently came back to life in the Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey five-issue miniseries, and is now the leader of X-Men Red. Kitty Pryde became the headmaster of the newly-opened Xavier Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach, along with the leader of X-Men Gold. For all intents and purposes, Kitty is the public face of the X-Men. Finally, Storm is a member of X-Men Gold and X-Men Red, but is no stranger to taking a leadership role among the group and can always be counted on to offer up sage advice when called upon. Storm recently regained her Asgardian hammer, Stormcaster.
