Marvel continues to roll out variant covers by the industries biggest artists for its imminent Uncanny X-Men relaunch. Now, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, aided by colorist Richard Isanove, adds his name to the ever-growing roster of A-listers celebrating the return of Marvel Comics' flagship mutant tile.
The cover was originally released as a poster celebrating the X-Men in the mid-90s. According to the signature, it was inked by Art Thibert and Scott Koblish.
The series’ initial, ten-issue storyline, “Disassembled,” will unfold at a weekly pace, with writers Ed Brisson, Kelly Thompson and Matthew Rosenberg aided by the art team of Mahmud Asrar, R.B. Silva, Yildiray Cinar and Pere Perez. While the creative team is keeping the epic storyline’s surprises a closely guarded secret, even in an interview with CBR, Marvel recently provided us with an exclusive peek inside the first four issues.
