WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Umbrella Academy Season 2, streaming now on Netflix.

The Hargreeves siblings fled through time in The Umbrella Academy Season 1 finale to escape the apocalypse, only to arrive in Dallas, Texas, scattered across the first years of the turbulent 1960s.

Of course, being separated in an unfamiliar city and decade is only the beginning of their problems: They must stop another apocalypse somehow tied to the assassination -- or else attempted assassination -- of President John F. Kennedy. Oh, and one of the Hargreeves may be responsible for it, again.

There are a lot of moving parts, so it's probably best to begin with when, exactly, each of the Hargreeves children is as Season 2 opens.

Klaus & Ben (1960)

Ben and Klaus in The Umbrella Academy Season 2

Despite what Klaus (Robert Sheehan) later tells his siblings, ghosts can time travel. He and his long-dead brother Ben (Justin H. Min) are the first of the Hargreeves to appear in Dallas, sometime in 1960. Klaus being Klaus, he somehow goes from a penniless drifter unceremoniously ejected from a diner to the globe-trotting leader of a cult  -- or, rather, an "alternative spiritual community" -- called Destiny's Children, with occasional supernatural assistance from a morally conflicted Ben.

Allison (1961)

None of the Hargreeves is affected more by their new era than Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), who arrives in 1961, only to immediately be confronted by the grim realities of Jim Crow. Initially still unable to speak, and, thus, use her mind-controlling power, Allison finds refuge, and then a job, in a neighborhood beauty parlor. A gathering place for local civil-rights activists, it's there she meets college professor turned organizer Raymond Chestnut (Yusuf Gatewood), whom she soon marries.

Luther (1962)

Dropped into 1962, the super-strong, but emotionally fragile, Luther (Tom Hopper) finds work as a bouncer Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby, for whom he also fights in underground bare-knuckle boxing matches. All the while, Reginald Hargreeves' "No. 1" pines for a reunion with Allison, to say nothing of the approval of his father.

Diego (Sept. 1, 1963)

Diego in The Umbrella Academy Season 2

Arriving 82 days before the Nov. 22, 1963, assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Diego Hargreeves (David Castañeda) swiftly determines it's his mission to prevent the tragedy that will change the course of U.S. history. Step 1 is stalking would-be assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, which leads to Diego's arrest outside the boarding house at 1026 N. Beckley St. That's promptly followed by Diego's institutionalization.

Vanya (Oct. 12, 1963)

Vanya in The Umbrella Academy Season 2

After causing one apocalypse on April 1, 2019, Vanya Hargreeves (Ellen Page) is deposited in Dallas on Oct. 12, 1963, where she may or may not be destined to bring about another. With no memory of who she is or what happened to her, Vanya is taken in by kindhearted Sissy Cooper (Marin Ireland) and her insufferable husband Carl (Stephen Bogaert). Living on the Cooper farm outside of Dallas, Vanya helps to care for their son Harlan (Justin Paul Kelly), who is seemingly on the autism spectrum.
