A new TV spot for Netflix's latest original series, The Umbrella Academy, premiered during the Grammy Awards, offering audiences a look at the first season's villains.
An adaptation of Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba's Dark Horse Comics series of the same name, the promo clip shows the aspiring superhero students seeking to avert the apocalypse only to be confronted by two time traveling villains, Hazel and Cha Cha, portrayed by Mary J. Blige and Cameron Britton, respectively.
"We meet new people and then kill them. We have the best job!" proclaims Hazel to Cha Cha between stylish gunfights against the students.
With eight days to go before the prophesied apocalypse and the mysterious, unrelenting new villains, the students of the comic book adaptation's titular private school will certainly have their hands full to save the day without the guidance of their headmaster.
Arriving February 15 on Netflix, the first season of The Umbrella Academy stars Ellen Page, Mary J. Blige, Tom Hopper, Cameron Britton, Robert Sheehan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Adam Godley, Aidan Gallagher, David Castañeda, John Magaro, Ashley Madekwe and Colm Feore.
