Production is underway on The Umbrella Academy Season 2. Co-executive producer Gerard Way confirmed that new episodes are currently in the making for the show based on his and Gabriel Ba's comic of the same name.

"It begins. Umbrella Academy Season 2," Way wrote on his personal Instagram. He posted a picture of a sign that reads, "The Umbrella Academy Season 2 Table Read," meaning the cast is going through the script with producers. Way also added an image showing his name placard on the set.
