Tales from the Umbrella Academy: You Look Like Death has dropped some intriguing bombshells thus far. The prequel series confirmed Klaus has powers we never saw before, where he can use ghosts to possess other people, and that he's been tripping to a mysterious place called the Void when he gets too high.

Also, it's been revealed that Sir Reginald Hargreeves used special agents from "the Company" to aid in training the kids, bringing up questions about what else happened before Apocalypse Suite. Issue #2 it's been confirmed a vampire war did break out and unsurprisingly, Klaus was responsible for it.

Klaus gets kicked out of the academy for his drug habits and poor performances in the field, eventually using an army of ghosts (all former drug dealers) to rob Mr. Shivers' joint. Shivers, a vampire chimpanzee, doesn't like this at all and tracks Klaus to Los Angeles to make an example out of him. But Shivers gets distracted with flashy clothes and is held at gunpoint by some Miami Vice-looking goons at a store. They then take him to Sage, a pale guy who confirms there's a fight for control of the vampire underworld happening.

Sage is insecure as he thinks Shivers wants his territory. He's panicking, however, which Shivers knows how to manipulate. Sage's words confirm this power struggle is getting to him and with so many vamps in LA, it's driving him crazy as he takes blood pressure pills to ease his stress. Shivers, cool, calm, and collected as ever, works him and eventually they split the turf with Shivers taking the East Side and below. Seeing Sage offering up turf to Shivers so easily says a lot as it seems he wants truces and negotiations more than the others who want full-blown bloodshed. Shivers accepts and departs, but this ominous meeting and Sage still being frantic hints a lot of trouble is to come. We have no clue how many gangs or actual vamps exist in Hollywood, but with Sage's men having silver bullets and vampire-killing equipment so chances are, the other gangs will as well.

It's bad news for Klaus, especially because Shivers now has more power and vamps to send after him, which could see Klaus' family getting hunted too. Once more, his irresponsibility is causing serious ripple effects and by having Shivers looking for him, Klaus tipped over an explosive domino that's poised to affect two worlds.

The egotistical Shivers isn't a forgiving person and once the other vampire lords encroach on his territory, he may find that taking it out on Klaus is the best form of stress relief.
